Matthew S. Slaven, DDS, MSD                                           

Originally from Indiana, he completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 1998.  Dr. Slaven attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (1998-2002), where in addition to his clinical work, Dr. Slaven conducted research utilizing growth factors to promote bone formation. Dr. Slaven graduated from Indiana University with a Masters of Science and Dentistry and certificate in periodontics in 2005.  Dr. Slaven's masters thesis was a comprehensive survey of over 1,000 dental implants placed by the graduate periodontics department since 1990.

Along with his strong research background, Dr. Slaven is enthusiatic about comprehensive periodontal therapy, regenerative procedures, and dental implants.  Dr. Slaven is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Association.

He resides in Ballwin, Missouri with his wife, Jeni, and their two wonderful chidren, Colton and Sydney.  His outside interests include exercising, basketball, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
